Seattle Slew

Premiere: Pacific Northwest Ballet with members of the Seattle Symphony Orchestra, Stewart Kershaw conducting, Seattle, WA, March 5, 1986. While the complete ballet is five movements, the inner three Dance movements may be used as an orchestral suite titled THREE DANCES IN FOREQUARTER TIME. Movements: 1. Horse Overture; 2. Dance I: Derby Dressage; 3. Dance II: Preakness Promenade; 4. Dance III: Belmont Breeze; 5. Epilogue: A Slew of Slews. The same rental materials may be used for both the ballet and the orchestral suite.
