Harmon.
An American brass-mute atelier. Hand-crafted by skilled technicians using metal spinning, based on the original 1920s and 30s designs — the Wow-Wow mute that Miles Davis and Clyde McCoy made famous.
The Wow-Wow
mute, since 1925.
The atelier’s line: hand-crafted brass mutes using metal spinning, the same process the founder used in 1925. Based on the original 1920s and 30s designs and built by skilled technicians.
The Wow-Wow mute defined an entire jazz vocabulary — the harmonic colour Miles Davis pulled from his trumpet, the sound Clyde McCoy made his signature, the muted voice that classical orchestras call for in Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue.
