The Mercy Manger

What God did two millennia ago was so unexpected, so far from anything we could comprehend, we failed to recognize it. God, the Father showed us mercy. The infinitely Holy reached out to the utterly sinful. God, the Son came to us. The mundane was confronted by the miraculous--a Child in a manger, the Bread of Life in a feeding trough for animals. From the foundations of the earth, He planned mercy--in a manger. It was a mercy manger.
