Remove the bottom caps from the instrument, then, with warm, soapy water, simply use the brush to clean inside the valve block to remove any build-up of oil residue and debris. Washing-up liquid or a similar detergent is fine. Brush each valve casing at least fifteen times over a minimum period of thirty seconds to ensure clean and hygienic valves. Gently clean the valves (remembering to keep them in order) using the same hot, soapy water.
