Lessons Learned From Kids

Heartwarming, humorous, and rich with timeless truth, Lessons Learned from Kids is a 30-minute multi-movement work that explores the values we carry with us through every stage of life. Commissioned by the Houston Children's Chorus, this extended work for 2-Part treble voices is accompanied by either piano or chamber orchestra, and highlights Heather Sorenson's eclectic writing style. Optional narration for two children provides a warm and engaging thread between movements. From Perseverance and Honesty to Consequences, Compassion, Manners, and Gratitude, Lessons Learned from Kids reminds audiences of all ages that the simplest lessons are often the most important ones.
