Shawnee Press — Scrooge

From a miserly, uncaring old man, Ebenezer Scrooge is converted to generous good temper on the concert stage. Based on Charles Dickens' story, “A Christmas Carol,” Scrooge has been masterfully adapted for today, while still maintaining the flavor of the original story. The songs are arranged for 2-part treble chorus with an optional third part for changed or changing voices. Scrooge is loaded with musical variety, the songs ranging in style from a traditional English carol to a jazz waltz. The chorus remains in the pit throughout the performance, providing background for the solos and commenting on the action. Grade Level: 6-Adult. Perf. Time: Approx. 90 minutes.
