He informed his friend the well-known critic Eduard Hanslick about this in April 1866, saying that his thoughts while writing them had been “of Vienna and its pretty girls” – which is also how they sound – light, cheerful, one is tempted to say “Schubertian.” They still enjoy great popularity today, also for home music-making. Brahms also transcribed the waltzes for piano two hands (see editions HN42, 43).\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Henle Urtext Edition","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":53472275267902,"sku":"51480067","price":18.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0695\/1396\/9982\/files\/51480067_1.jpg?v=1778651347","url":"https:\/\/themusiciansclub.net\/products\/waltzes-op-39-1-piano-4-hands","provider":"The Musicians Club","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
