The atelier’s line, set above the door: “A normal saxophone loudness level is typically 90–95 dBA.” The brief that follows: a roughly 30 dB reduction, dropping the horn to 55–70 dB — comparable to a conversation, quiet enough for an apartment evening.
The build is three pieces — mouthpiece, neck, bell — in flexible honeycomb-structured nylon foam with carbon-fibre components. Washable, durable. The brief preserves natural playing mechanics: “work on the airstream and the centering of the sound” while practising quietly.
