BRAKUL.
Hand-made brass — mouthpieces, tone-color changers, valve caps, finger buttons. The same brass and the same techniques as the instrument itself, finished one by one.
Hand-made,
same brass as the horn.
The atelier’s line, set above the door: “Tokyo Hand Made Brass Factory.” The brief that follows: parts “crafted using identical materials and methods as professional brass instruments,” with the hardness, flexibility and acoustics tuned “to maximise material effects.”
The catalogue is built around custom: “The sound that each person wants, the sound you want to make, and the process of arriving there are different.” Production is mostly hand-made and made-to-order, with typical lead times of 3 weeks to 1 month.
