The percussion section is featured at the start, as layers of patterns build up to a vibrant full band statement of the main theme. The lyric middle section features short solos for clarinet and trumpet accompanied by lush background harmonies from the ensemble. The fast pace returns introduced by a playful baritone sax solo followed by a full band recap of the opening theme and a rousing finish.
