medium - The AMBIPOLY Bassoon reed is an unfinished reed recommend to bassoonists who know how to uniquely customize a perfect reed. Although playable as-is, bassoonists will want to further adjust this reed to achieve maximum performance. Conventional methods and tools including sandpaper, reed knife and tip cutters may be used. Scraping and clipping the reed is encouraged and will NOT void the warranty. Warrantied for 3 months of continuous, consistent performance. Lifetime expectancy of 12 months with proper care. Rinse with clean water after playing to prevent the buildup of saliva plaque. For frequent use, rotate between two reeds every 24 hours to keep reeds performance-ready.
