These orchestrations were created by the composer on commission from Deutsche Gramophone expressly for soprano Measha Brueggergosman. They may be heard on her 2007 CD, Surprise! The composer added two more songs in 2014, on commission from the Grant Park Music Festival, now included in the set. Movements: I. Amor, II. Song of Black Max, III. George, IV. Surprise!, V. The Actor, VI. At the Last Lousy Moments of Love, VII. Toothbrush Time, VIII. The Total Stranger in the Garden, IX. Fur, X. Places To Live.
