Infused with latin rhythms and improvisatory jazzlike passages for the trumpet soloist, the mood of this single-movement concerto islight and effervescent. This work was awarded First Prize in the Doc Severinsen International Composition Contest and premiered by the University of Tennessee Symphony, Allen Vizzutti trumpet soloist. Length ca. 9'. This large orchestra version includes two additional trumpet parts and one additional percussion. (Smaller orchestration available separately.)
