Gloria In Excelsis - Toccata On Christmas Song

The Toccata on Christmas Song is based on the famous Christmas theme of “Gloria in Excelsis” and features a highly varied rhythmic character in both the manuals and the pedal. At the same time, it tends to highlight a solo register of the organ, such as the Tuba, the Chamade or the Trumpets. After an opening section in which the entire theme is presented, a second central section of development follows, and the piece concludes with a reprise of the first section and a final coda.
