I Heard The Spring Wind Whisper

This piece for SATB choir uses just a handful of selected lines from Bliss Carmen's poem, but which represent the beauty of the poem as a whole. This piece for advanced choirs is written in a 21st century version of tonality in which musical colour takes precedence over theoretical underpinnings, as the piece floats around A flat Major-ish soundscape. Each part stands on its own, creating a weaving effect, wherein all four voice types are equally important in musically colouring Carmen's poetry.
