Introduction and Dance (From La Favola D'orfeo)

This arrangement provides opportunities for orchestra students to explore a variety of key centers, meters, and articulations, with interesting material written across the ensemble. The arrangement also offers a chance for students to perform the work of an early Baroque master, one not often encountered in school orchestras, and experience harmonies and chord progressions that pre-date the harmonic language of the later Baroque masters.
