Klezmoresque — Music Box Variable Wind Quintet plus Percussion

Klezmer is the traditional music for weddings and celebrations of Yiddish-speaking Eastern Europeans. Its origins go back to the sixteenth century “klezmorim,” travelling Jewish musicians who picked up something from local music culture wherever they went. The style endures due to its interesting synthesis of familiar sounds and exotic turns, as well as the simultaneously melancholic and cheerful mood.
