Remedy Thirty-One

This short song for mezzo-soprano, cello and piano takes its inspiration from medieval medical practices. It sets text found in the Lacnunga, a collection of Anglo-Saxon medical texts and prayers, for the thirty-first remedy, “for a good bonesalve, also good for headache, and infirmity of all the limbs...”.
