The new geometry and the full-length tapered bell section provides stability and improved intonation. The material has more mechanical strength yet is still very light and gives a very quick response in repetitive, articulated staccato. The stop mute allows for a characteristic “buzzy” sound in the pp dynamics, and you can really go for the real ff and still maintain the characteristic, hand stopped sound. The rubber cork also provides a comfortable, stable grip inside the bell.
