Commissioned by the Vancouver Foundation for Music in the Morning, Vancouver. Premiere: November 16, 1988, Orpheum Theatre, Vancouver, James Anagnason and Leslie Kinton, pianists, CBC Vancouver Orchestra, Mario Bernardi, conductor.
