The atelier’s brief, set above the door: “an extensive consulting and testing process” with professional musicians, voiced to discover “unique emotions and distinctive characteristics” — and to bridge the gap between imagination and reality in mouthpiece design.
The atelier opened in 2013 as a brass-repair studio and grew into the design house behind the signature mouthpiece lines on the bench today. The catalogue is named after the artists who carry each cup: Tuba Buzz (Tim Buzbee signature), Tuba MW (Micky Wrobleski signature), Tuba LTC (Takchun Lai signature), the Etruscan cornet & flügelhorn series, the bass-trombone cup, the trombone / alto trombone / euphonium cup, the trumpet line, and the French horn cup.
