John Tavener: The Last Discourse

This work, which gives a musical interpretation of the Last Discourse of Christ after the Last Supper, was commissioned by Lord and Lady Marks for the Byzantine Festival in London 1998. It was first performed in March 1998 at St. Paul's Cathedral, London, by Patricia Rozario, Stephen Richardson, Barry Guy, the Choir of St. Paul's Cathedral and the Choir of the Syrian Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch, conducted by John Scott.
