Peasant Songs

Three delightful “village” songs from the Spanish Renaissance have been combined into this instrumental suite for younger string ensembles. The short movements have stylistic shifts between major and minor modes, and are written with melodic, moving parts for all instruments. The optional medieval percussion adds to the Renaissance flavor.
