I · The Three Programmes

Three traditions,
one playbook.

Concert band, marching band, and jazz ensemble — different repertoire, different stages, different gear lists. Pick your programme to skip straight to the right shelves.

II · By Section

Brass, winds, percussion,
colour-guard.

The section by section breakdown. Every chair on the field or in the pit, with curated maker shortlists for each.

The Brass Section

Trumpets, mellophones, marching baritones, sousaphones, trombones, French horns. From student-grade through Lechner orchestral C trumpets and Cerveny BBb helicons.

The Wind Section

Flutes, clarinets, oboes, bassoons, alto / tenor / baritone saxes. Reed makers (Vandoren, Légère, Rico), ligatures (BG, Silverstein), mouthpieces (Otto Link, JodyJazz).

The Percussion Section

Drumline kit (snare, tenors, bass, cymbals), concert percussion (timpani, mallets, marimba), drumheads (Remo), sticks (Pro-Mark), front-ensemble gear.

The Field Kit

Lyres, marching folders, harnesses, plumes, gloves, gauntlets, podium, conductor stand, music carts. Everything that isn't the instrument but makes the show happen.

IV · How We Work

Workshop-direct,
director-shaped.

Four things we do that distributors don't. The reasons directors keep coming back.
Sourcing
Direct from the workshop

Most makers ship to us — and through us — without a middle distributor. The price reflects that.

Shipping
One PO, one delivery

Multi-section orders consolidated into a single shipment, scheduled to your rehearsal calendar.

Quoting
Programme pricing

From eight instruments per section, automatic tiered pricing. Quote in 24–48 hours.

Service
A real human, all season

One contact for the whole programme. Mid-season add-ons, repairs, catalogue questions — same person.

For Directors & Programme Coordinators

Outfitting an entire programme?

Schools, conservatoires, military bands, drum corps. We work with directors directly — quote-based pricing, consolidated shipping by section, single-PO billing, and a real human to call when the marching show changes shape mid-season.

V · Director Questions

Things we get
asked every season.

Quick answers on lead times, quotes, billing, and after-sale service. Anything else, the director's hotline is the fastest route.
How long until a programme order ships?+
Stocked items leave within 1–3 business days. Workshop-built instruments (Lechner, RZ, Cerveny, custom Marigaux) typically ship 4–8 weeks from the maker, depending on the model. We confirm the realistic schedule before you sign the PO so the rehearsal calendar lines up.
Can I purchase on a school PO?+
Yes. Schools, conservatoires, military bands, and registered nonprofits can purchase against an institutional purchase order. We invoice net against the PO once the order ships. Send the PO and tax-exempt form (if applicable) when you request the quote.
How does quantity pricing work?+
From 8 instruments per section, automatic tiered pricing applies. Larger programmes (full marching brass refit, full woodwind section) get section-level discounts that compound across the order. The quote shows the per-piece rate, the section discount, and the consolidated shipping line so you can compare against any other supplier line by line.
Do you handle repairs on instruments you sold?+
Warranty-covered defects go back to the maker through us — you don't ship the instrument to Salzburg or Brussels yourself. For routine adjustment or out-of-warranty repair, we maintain a network of approved technicians and can route to the closest one. Email info@themusiciansclub.net with serial number and a description.
Can a director try before a full section orders?+
For programme-scale orders, yes — we can arrange a single demonstrator unit to your rehearsal room ahead of the full section purchase. Demo terms (loan window, return shipping, security deposit) are agreed in writing as part of the quote. Ask your contact when you request the quote.
Where do I see shipping & returns in detail?+
Full policy lives on Shipping & Delivery and Returns. The short version: international tracked shipping; instruments insured to declared value; standard 30-day return window on stocked items in original condition. Custom workshop builds are subject to the maker's own deposit and cancellation terms.
