Commissioned to celebrate the 25th anniversary of a civic chorus, Ellingboe has once again shown his shown his ability to create memorable tunes by crafting this delightful setting of a text by the 14th century poet Hafiz. For mixed chorus and piano, with optional baritone and alto solos, the piece culminates with “joy!”
