Featuring the last section of Henry Van Dyke's “Ode in Praise of Music,” Frank DeWald has employed a lush, contemporary harmonic language to set this celebratory text. Opening with arpeggiated sixteenth notes in the accompaniment then moving to a more stately texture, and finally, a Beethoven inspired grand and exultant conclusion. Duration ca. 3 minutes 20 seconds.
