Une Charogne — for Contralto and Piano

This piece for contralto and piano setting a text from Charles Baudelaire was co-commissioned by Oxford Lieder and the Baudelaire Song Project, with the generous support of the Nicholas John Trust, the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the University of Birmingham. First performed by Jess Dandy (contralto) and Sholto Kynoch (piano) on 23rd October 2019 at the Holywell Music Room, Oxford, as part of the Oxford Lieder Festival.
