Every note and word comes from J.S. Bach. The notes are from BWV 118 O Jesu Christ, meins Lebens Licht, with texts from BWV 140 Wachet Auf. Together it makes this accessible Bach masterpiece appropriate for concert or worship at Advent, Christmas, Lent or Palm Sunday. Edited by Dr. Jennaya Robison it can work with just the keyboard accompaniment. The original Bach orchestration is available which includes the two lituo instruments (Baroque brass). Modern-day instrumental replacements, such as horn, flute or oboe are also provided.
