Josef Klier.
German brass-mouthpiece atelier — on the bench since 1888. Hundreds of cup specifications, scaled by exact diameter, depth and rim contour rather than vague model numbers.
By exact spec,
not by vague model.
The atelier’s positioning, set above the door: “Many producers of mouthpieces use model designations, which provide only insufficient information about cup diameter, cup depth and rim contour.” JK answers with a spec sheet of hundreds of cups, each defined precisely by the dimensions that decide how the cup actually plays.
The line carried in our store is the Exclusive tier and the named cuts above it. Tuba: Peter Laib Exclusive, Tuba Exclusive, Tuba Classic Exclusive. Tenor horn: Michael Müller Exclusive. Parforcehorn: standard and Deep. Cologne Model: Euphonium / Tenor / Alto horn.
Beyond the cup itself, JK is known for the screw-on rim system — rims available in silver-plated brass, gold-plated, or white plastic for players with metal allergies or winter-cold lips.
