I · By Chair

Four sections.
One standard across the score.

Strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion — every chair on the platform, with curated maker shortlists for each. Built for music librarians, principals, and orchestra managers.

II · Principal Flagships

For the chairs
that hold the section.

A small selection from each section's flagship tier — the instruments principal players actually order. From Anton Krutz cellos to Lechner orchestra-model C trumpets.

III · The Pit Inventory

Stands, podiums, chairs,
and everything between.

The non-instrument inventory that makes the rehearsal happen. Conductor podiums, music stands, performance chairs, library carts, score storage.

IV · How We Work

Workshop-direct,
librarian-shaped.

Four things we do that distributors don't. The reasons orchestra managers and music librarians keep coming back.
Sourcing
Direct from the workshop

Orders go to Salzburg, Brussels, Mannheim, Geretsried — straight to the maker, not through a regional distributor.

Shipping
Single PO, full section

Strings, winds, brass, percussion, parts — consolidated and delivered against one purchase order.

Library
Score parts, matched

Repertoire ordered alongside the instruments. Bärenreiter, Henle, Breitkopf — keyed to the season's programme.

$10k+ specialist

Principal-tier acquisitions handled end-to-end by one specialist — quote, purchase, ship, after-sale.

VI · Librarian Questions

Things music librarians
and managers ask first.

Quick answers on lead times, quotes, billing, and after-sale service. Anything else, the institutional concierge is the fastest route.
How long until a workshop instrument ships?+
Stocked items leave within 1–3 business days. Workshop-built instruments — Lechner rotary trumpets, RZ bass clarinets, Marigaux conservatoire oboes, Thore contrabassoons — typically take 4–10 weeks from the maker depending on configuration. We confirm the realistic schedule before you sign the PO so the season's calendar lines up.
Can we purchase on an institutional PO?+
Yes. Symphony orchestras, conservatoires, opera companies, universities, and registered nonprofits can purchase against an institutional purchase order. We invoice net against the PO once the order ships. Send the PO and tax-exempt form (if applicable) when you request the quote.
Does the music librarian get parts coordinated with the instruments?+
Yes — that's the point of the institutional concierge. Sheet music, parts, and scores from Bärenreiter, Henle, Breitkopf & Härtel, Carl Fischer, and others can be specified alongside the hardware order, ship-matched to the rehearsal cycle. Pull-list spreadsheets are welcome.
Do you handle repairs & warranty on workshop instruments?+
Warranty-covered defects are handled through us back to the maker — you don't ship the instrument to Salzburg or Brussels yourself. For routine adjustment or out-of-warranty repair, we maintain a network of approved technicians and can route to the closest one. Email info@themusiciansclub.net with serial number and a description.
Can a principal try a flagship before the section orders?+
For principal-tier acquisitions ($10k+) and full-section refits, we can arrange a single demonstrator unit to your rehearsal room ahead of the section purchase. Demo terms (loan window, return shipping, security deposit) are agreed in writing as part of the quote. Ask your contact when you request the quote.
Where is the full shipping & returns policy?+
Full policy lives on Shipping & Delivery and Returns. The short version: international tracked shipping; instruments insured to declared value; standard 30-day return window on stocked items in original condition. Workshop-built instruments are subject to the maker's deposit and cancellation terms — itemised in the quote.
